Well, it's a new year which means new exciting challenges both in my personal and professional life. I wanted to use this post so I can share with you my (three) readers, what my plans are for the content for blog for the upcoming year.
Theme for 2008: Simplicity
That's right, simplicity. For those of you that know me personally or have worked with me, are now saying, "Simplicity, WTF?!? You?" Just kidding...well, not about the simplicity theme. ;-) Over the past year, I've learned that the "best" approach to a problem does not mean that it has to be "complex."
That's one lesson that's hard to learn. I'm not all the way there, but it's an on going journey.
Content, Content, Content!
Text is good, but it only goes so far. At times, you need more to get you point across, like video and audio. So, I'm extending my blog out reach and creating a show entitled, "Coding Out Loud." I've been kicking this idea for quite sometime that I've finally decided to put implemented.
The show will be a podcast (video and audio) where I talk current development topics, do book reviews, show some code/software and hopefully interview some people. So if you have something interesting to say and would like to get interviewed, ping me and we can hook something up. I've already purchased a pretty
pretty nice USB microphone and a
descent HD camera so I'm pretty set to go.
First though, as promised at
HDC, I will (start and) finish my webcast series on the software factories available to developers on the .NET platform. I know have a valid Camtasia license, so recording them is no longer an issue.
I hope you like what I have planned for the 2008 blog year!
